Here is my BTS home :D. I know, its smaller than it should be, but it is the best I have, since the BTS isnt mine. Just wanna know what you guys think. The first pic is his night cage. It doesnt get much light and stuff, so we have him in another during the day. The 2nd pic is his day cage. it gets alot more air and light then the other one, and he seems to enjoy being in it. I dont have everything in the night cage, because mom took everything out this morning for some reason. You can see him in his day cage in the pic though.

No offense and all (Iknow this is the best you have for him, seince he is not your skink), but he should not be switching back and forth from a night cage and to a day cage. He should stay in the night cage all the time. He needs a UVB light, not sun light by a window. Does he ever have a hide or water bowel? Please keep him in that night cage all the time. Maybe you should go out and buy a UVB light and a lamp ficture. He needs UVB. You can't just let him have the out door light all the time, he doen't evn have any type of hide or water dish in that screen cage.

I could say so much more ect. His owner must not know very much about BTS.....

In the night cage he has two water dishes, a mudstone(?) rock, a half log hide, and the carpet stuff with newspaper underneath. In the night cage he DOES have a water dish, but it is white, so its hard to see, srry. I also put the stone in there and he has a big stick to climb on. Why he is being switched is because whenever we wake up or when he is put in the night cage, he is alwas pressing his nose up agaist the glass and trying to get out. He doesnt like it at all. I do have a UVB light for him. it is on the inside to of his tank. I havent figured out how to set the timer it is connected to yet though.

I see, I see. He needs to stay in that night cage all the time, no switching back and forth. Even if he doesn't like it, he should stay in that cage. He needs that UVB light at least 9 hours a day. Please, please keep him in that night cage. It's more sutible for a BTS. He should of never been kept in that screen cage... Man, that poor skink.

Sorry for being so harsh. It's just that skink doesn't have the right care and food that he needs. A BTS is a lot of work....

I don’t think that, it is because he likes the day cage better, I think it is because the night cage is too small. Also switching him, everyday, 2 times a day, is going to be very stressful on you BTS.

Also I know I read a post about a blue tongue skink in the pet store that was laying eggs a while ago. Is this that animal? I was pretty sure you where the one who posted that, I’m just not 100% sure.
