Yep...BB took a crap not 1 1/2 hours into starting our road-trip. I was just starting to settle in for the long haul (me and my Mom had switched out about 5 minutes earlier) and I look in the rear view to see a huge cloud of white forming behind us. I was able to get over quickly and stop before we caught on fire - YAY. Don't know what happened exactly, but we're guessing a line for the transmission blew. Within a minute or so, all of the transmission fluid was sitting in a puddle under the car.
After several calls, and lots of time, we got the car towed back to the dealer that had serviced it yesterday (part of what they service included replacing the transmission fluid). I'm hoping it's just a case of some dip-shit not putting the line back correctly....nothing major or expensive. It was running smooth as silk right up until it blew.
Anyway, I got bit by about a million mosquitos. Got a bit of a sunburn. And got honked at a few times as I took a wiz outside (when ya gotta go, ya gotta go!)...despite having several trees around me. Roughly 2 hours after we broke down, we were rescued by my Dad.
So, we're back at home now. I'm here until at least Monday. If it's something minor, I may be driving out late Monday or Tuesday. If it's major, I may be screwed. I may end up flying back with no car. Bummer.
Wish me luck! Kelli, give me a call if you want to hang out some more. Just provide some sunscreen if Connor wants to go to the skate-park. LOL
