Ok, so this morning I come home from work and find these little bugs in the vermiculite. They havnt affected my gecko at all, hes fine, but what are they? They are tiny, move/jump quickly and they are only in the vermiculite... no where else. I keep the vermiculite in a plastic container on the UTH.... thanks for the help.

Of course, by now, I have completely thrown out the whole container of vlite and replaced it with fresh stuff. I just want to know what those bugs were. They looked like little ants, brown in color, but REALLY quick. Again, they didnt seem to affect Big Daddy so Im not too worried, I just want to know what they are that way I can keep them from coming back.

they are baby crickets and that would be from a cricket laying her eggs in the vermiculite and they just hatched.

If it was realy wet they could have been springtails. Google them if you dont know what they are. I had the same thing happen to me when i had a tree frog.
