Sounds good, I do like writing articles (I run a creative writing website, plus I'm a web content editor in real life too) so I would be up for that! I'll write something up for you once I've finished it. :)

Looks good....just a word of caution if you feed crickets. Hungry and not so hungry crickets like to eat the foam...Foam is a not a suggested gut load item. I certainly suggest more than one coat of grout and observe closely where the geckos may rub off areas to due their shed. Take care and nice construction. HJ

Thanks, I've taken your advice to heart and it's now got another layer of grout and I've put more on the underside so that the crics can't have a nibble on it anywhere. The final coating (after painting it with acrylic paint) will be a layer of yacht varnish (natural varnish made from oils and resins) so the combination of the plasticity of the acrylic and the layer of varnish should keep the crics off.

Could you use spray paint on something like this?

I didn't want to use spray paint because I didn't think it would be safe, plus I haven't really got anywhere to spray it. I went for acrylic paint in the end as it's water-based and has a plastic-like finish once dry. I've got the first coat on now... pictures coming soon!

would you fix this to your back wall or are you just going to sit it in the vive?

I'm going to be doing something similar (probably going to take me forever because I specifically have an idea that I want it to look like a combination of South Western American backdrops like Monument Valley, White House Ruins... etc) Big project, tons of time. :main_thumbsup:

I was just going to sit it in the viv so I can remove it and chase out and crickets that get behind there.
