Building a tank

Has anyone done this? I am interested in doing this for my leo's I want them to have a big house when I get my house. I know how to build a fish tank as I have helped people with custom builds of their own but has anyone done this here?

I was thinking of a 48x24x12 tall tank I like glass all around like an aquarium because I am not really a good carpenter. My big question I guess is what do you think the best thing to use for bracing?

Either way if you have built your own enclosure no matter what the contents and you can advise and even post pics please let me know.

Bump need suggestions. Got into a car accident at work the other nite I'm laid up at home and all I have to do is sit here and wait for a response until the work dr wants to see me again. Please help me stay occupied!!! LOL

Glass cages sells the frames:

I've seen people use wood or metal corners for the frames on a few different forums. You'd probably want to go with at least 1/4 inch glass at that size.

Be sure to shop around though. I faxed out a list to a bunch of shops when I got the sliding doors for my tanks. You'd be surprised at the ranges that came back...;o) Good luck!

I was thinking of using 1/2 inch for the bottom

Size being 60x24x13 or 14.

Gonna be a Leo Mansion.

Sorry with all the questions in multiple posts but can anyone tell me if acrylic is ok to use? Will the UTH make it brittle and crack? Will the material absorb the feces odor?

BTW I do know how easily it scratches.
