So i said few things about this before. so i photoshoped it out so you guys could see how i want it to look like

leopardgeckocage.jpg

It gunna hold 11 (10 gallon tanks)

5 Tanks on top 3 in middle and 3 on the bottom... or mby go 13 tanks.. and do 5 on top 5 in middle and 3 on bottom

basically the Top ones be for the babys and bottom ones for bigger adults.

i have space in my room where i can fit it at.. gunna have Heating pads under every tank, Red heat light for night, nad basking light for day use and uvb light

Right now im Making the Basic structure Plans im gunna be using 2x4's as the base frame.. i get paid friday so im gunna pick up 2 10 gallon tanks and start with that i have one alrdy with juv gecko in it.

im also gunna make it so each tank will slide out. on rollers when i want to hold them.. Basically itll be same thing u see at like petsmart just bigger cages. I figure once the basic setup all rollers set in place. ill start wiring everything on circuit pattern that way i can turn one light on and all basking lights be on... and turn them off and turn all red lights on... and uvb lights on.. it should Be nice setup once all said and done.. and forsure gunna cost a bit. thats why its gunna be somthing do threw out my paychecks 200$ going towards a car everypay check... 100 or so going in pocket and rest going towards cage setup... crickets, other stuff needed

anyways anyne have any idea

the cage be about 54" Long 50" tall 25-30" wide
and i figure 10 gallon tanks wide are 10" so 5 those on top is 50"

anyways i need get some sleep. i got work tommarow and then get 3 days clean my room up yippie lol its mess right now its hard walk to one gecko to the other to the other to the bearded lol... but i do it :) i need clean my room to start building base.

Thanks for lookin and anyones help if they got any idea's

you dont need a daytime basking bulb or the uvb light Leoapard geckos are nocturnal in nature

I had the same idea except for three 10 gallon tanks and then "racks" for the juvies. Only difference is I was gunna make a shelf/closet/cubby hole, to store the feeders/vitamins, and maybe a shelf for the incubator.

ill have a shelf above it.. that holds all my reptile xtra's/food and vitamans

so a Gecko doesnt need a spot light? they can just have the red light? becuz i use spot light on one mine but red light on rest.. and have uvb light and red light on one the toher tanks

alot of us keep our leos in racks with only heat from the bottom. None of the lights are actually needed but the red light you can use for your viewing them at nite when they are out running around.

I use flexwatt belly heat in my racks. No light. No Uv. You're using a lot of space with that design. May I suggest a rack system with tubs versus aquariums? I'm not sure the wattage of the UTH you're going to use, but I would assume that using flexwatt woven throughout the levels would be less costly in terms of electricity than 11 UTH's.

They really don't need a spotlight because they're nocturnal and don't normally bask. Usually the lights are just to simulate a day/night scenario.

yea idk.. i like to see them thats why i was going with aquariums. its onl like 110$ for 11 10 gallon tanks lol(only)... idk really though.. i plan on using heat from bottom. of tanks

but wahts flexwatt?

Belly heat is the best for your Leo, stay away from lights for their heat source. Leos dont bask in the sun (some might on a rare day)

In the day time Leos sleep in a cave (cool) (real life)

In the night time they lay on rocks that the sun was beating on all day (hot)
(real life)

Helps them digest their food. Same as how snakes lay out on a black top road at night for belly warmth!

Here is one of my set ups (notice my lamp its only used for cold times) Notice the different temp zones, water and moist hide.

This set up is all a leo will need (but not less) UTH -(under tank heater)

Looks like a cool idea. UVB is unnecessary but won't hurt them (as long as it is low wattage). Going with tanks over tubs I like as you'll be able to view them easier. Whats the point of having them (unless your a serious breeder and even then...) if you never see them.

That's gonna be a lot of weight too, so invest in some quality lumber and take your time with the craftmanship. Post some pics when you get it done too, good luck!

You don't need light at all... Under Tank heaters should sufficiently heat the enclosure. But a digital thermometer can accurately measure the temps. The lights just give a day/night scenario, but you don't need them. They need the belly heat, the lights don't do much for them, definitely get UTH's for your geckos.
