Building New Gecko Home

Hey,

I'm thinking of building my next tank out of wood so I can make it to the right size to fit in my room and I was just wondering is there any types of wood I should stay away from or a type I should use?

Just get a glass one off craigslist....they're super cheap, i got a 20g for $15

I want to do the same thing, and from what i have read its a good idea to stay away from wood from evergreen trees. Supposably the fumes given off by it is bad for reptiles, im not sure how true that it but i havent heard anything saying it was wrong.

You will want to use a light wood. so the tank isnt heavy.. but i would also use plexiglass for all the sides..
