Thank you for the information regarding the water and bulbs. So I am curious, do any of you use a basking bulb or do you just use a blue/colored incandescent bulb? One pet store swears that I need a heat bulb and another says I do not. I am also having trouble keeping the humidity level up. During the day, the level stays at 38, which is much lower than it is supposed to. It stays at this when I had a blue incandescent bulb and when I have a heat bulb. The room temperature is 69 degrees. Do I need to be real concerned that I can't get the humidity level up?

Only had ours for a few months but you definitely don't need a basking light I'm not surprised your humidity is so low.
Do you Mist it twice a day?
On ours we have a 12w heat mat on for 6 hours in the day and then when that goes off put the blue 15w incandescent bulb on which gives off heat anyway. What size viv is yours?

Well, the humidity is at the same level with the 25w heat bulb as it was with the blue incandescent bulb. I only changed it because I was talking to a pet store about my trouble with the humidity level, and they told me that I needed a heat bulb. I got the bulb then spoke with the store who I bought the gecko from, and they say that there is no need for the heat bulb bc that draws out the humidity, however, the level is the same with either bulb. I will go back to the blue incandescent bulb, but that still concerns me that the humidity level is only 38. Yes we mist twice per day. Do I need to be really concerned about the humidity level at 38 as long as my room temp is 69?

From what I've read yeah it's quite important to have a good humidity.
Maybe your humidity gauge is not working right, if you're misting twice a day then the humidity should be more than that so I would check your gauge first
