I know this is old but I just read it for the first time and even though I dont like snakes, I can just imagine popcorn... that snake overcame its wild instinct and did nothing to humans.... thats like saying we can overcome hunger, its instinct to an animal and that snake did it. And what did a human do to it??? Gave it a painful, agonizing death.... that really brings a tear to my eye and makes me want to shoot the kid AND the father. Humanity is better off without them anyways.

Being raised in a Hispanic household if that was my kid he would have a red butt for a month... how disgustingly stupid this act was.

My dad would have spanked my butt for days if I did something as stupid as that!! My dad was scared of snakes his whole life but he always had a kingsnake in the house. When people asked him why he kept a snake he would tell people I want my kids to love and respect all animals.

That's ridiculous. I don't care how old he was, I would have kicked him in his stomach.

As for the teacher saying it's logical, I would have just said:

"If I were to stomp on your neck and it severed your spine, would that be logical? Didn't think so, go fuck yourself"
