are they any good i know they cost quite abit but do leos like them at all ?

I have not used them as the Reptile Store where I go does not carry them and if I were to order them on the internet from the local business they are currently out.

Cricket Nutritional Info: Fat 6.0%, Protein 17.0%, Moisture 75%, Ash 1%, Other 1%, Calories - 87.73%, Calcium (ml/100 grs) 42.9 - Temperature 70 to 75 degrees F.

Mealworm Nutritional Info: Fat 12.72%, Protein 20.27%, Moisture 62.44%, Ash 1.57%, Fiber 1.73%, Calories 133, Dormant at 45 Degrees

Butterworm Nutritional Info: Fat 5.21%, Protein 16.20%, Moisture 58.54%, Ash 1.04%, Calories - 87.73, Calcium (ml/100 grs) 42.9 - Dormant at 45 Degrees (High Fat - from Chile - can be put in the Refrigerator - Bran or Oatmeal substrate))

Cockroach Nutritional Info: Fat %, Protein %, Moisture %, Ash %, Calories - ?, Temperature about 77 degrees F.

Silkworm Nutritional Info: Fat 10.6%, Protein 63.80%, Moisture %, Ash 7.40%, Other .42%, Carbohydrate 18.2%, Calories - ?, Dormant at 45 Degrees (can be put in the Refrigerator)

Waxworm Nutritional Info: Fat 20.12%, Protein 15.40%, Moisture 60.97%, Ash .97%, Calories - 181.08, Dormant at 45 Degrees (High Fat - Larvae of Greater Wax Moth)

They irradiate the butter worms before they come into the country to kill all bacteria, this also makes them sterile.

I used them before I found out they are Irradiated. I no longer use them for that reason.

Also the info on the silk worms is incorrect. They cannot be put into the fridge, They also do not do well in temps below 70 Deg. 85 deg is optimal.

Thanks for the great information. I think I'll print this out and post this at work if that's okay.

Also, for the record, I've fed the reptiles butterworms at work on occassion and the reptiles seem to really like them, but because they're expensive I hardly ever do that. That, and we don't get them in that much. I usually feed our reptiles at the store mealworms, crickets, and the occasional waxworm.

Ive used butterworms without a problem. I hear theyre very high in calcium. My leo prefers mealworms/roaches over them though.

I will have to look up the temp about the Silkworms. Thanks. I have been collecting stuff from the places I have visited.

So Paco ... why do you not like irradicated?

It is suppose to be safe.
