Butterworm Issues?

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone had a bad experience with butterworms as feeders for leopard geckos? I read a few terrifying posts on blogs about butterworms producing sticky fluid, causing harm to geckos. I just got some from a local bait shop (first time buying 'em), and there seemed to be clumps of sticky stuff throughout in their bedding. Is this normal?

I only ever tried them once because none of my geckos were big on them, but I had no issues. The sticky stuff in the bedding is likely their webbing. Should be fine as long as the bedding isn't damp or moldy.
