When I put the Calcium powder in my Geckos tank it seems to melt and go all green and slimey?
I havn't put it on the heat mat as I thought it would melt so I put it the other end near the water
and I think the water vapour may be making it melt. Will she lick it if its all melted? Any advice?
I have just moved it near her food which is in the middle of the tank.

Thanks

That really doesn't sound normal, or good. When I put calcium in my tank it stays powdery, and the calcium is about 3" away from the water bowl.

What brand of calcium powder is it?

No it hasn't expired its brand new, well I've not had it long.
I put calcium powder in her mealworm bowl and that stays powdery.
It's just the lid I put it in where its goes all horrible, maybe I just don't dry it out properly each time I wash it?

It might be getting wet somehow make sure that your calcium dish is super dry and your not splashing whatever into the dish while your changing the water. Today I put my mealie dish that had some left over Calcium Plus in the bathroom sink to clean out. I poured some water in it and had to walk away to answer the phone when I came back the water was GREEN so was the calcium plus! Some bits I guess dried and were orange. Weird!
