calcium powder

hi everyone.

i support my gecko with calcium powder. i take the crickets and cover them all over with it.

now some people said you should have an extra bowl with calcium powder.
Do they eat the powder by themselves ??? i can almost not imagine that

EDIT: Oh and should his hide always be moist or only when he sheds ?

Yes they lick the calcium powder up like little dogs

give him a moist hide on the cool side and a dry hide on the warm

and the calcium powder thing....i cut a lid in half because it was too deep and i filled half up with calcium powder. wonder if he will like or eat it

He will lick it if he isn't getting enough calcium for the dusting.
