I have these two oddballs that hatched from my Emerine Albino x Tangerine Tornado cross. The more they develop the more they resemble Calicos to me. I'm not saying they are in fact Calicos, but they certainly do a good job impersonating them. What do you all think? Euro people could you give me some background on the Calicos? How where they developed?

This is the male. He has a jungle pattern.

This is the female. She has a banded pattern

Both of them have white heads and were lavender and yellow as hatchlings. The lavender seems to be becoming overrun by a bright golden color.

Thank you Jess and Rawson5084. I don't know what to think about these two myself. I intend to line breed them when they're grown to see what happens. I should get some albinos from the pairing too. Wish me luck.

"I'm not saying they are in fact Calicos, but they certainly do a good job impersonating them." (Just my opinion) The title was mostly said in jest.

Thank you for the compliments. :main_thumbsup:

I know what you mean.
It really looks a little like one,
but since it is a genetic trait it would be hard to produce one.
But a beauty for sure:)

Sadly trait on a calico that made them for me.Seems to be being bred out of them. The paradox spots they use to be heavy with them.IMO this is a trait we should really be trying to keep on them. There starting to look to hypo type.

Paradox at just in frount of the tail.

Though i do like the look of the morph just think the paradox spotting gives that exsta ;).But i like how most have this look of all the color and spotting on the bady and tail gets push up.So they tend to have a whiter lower half.

There are my fav example of calico's sadly they belong to anther forum member. And the more paradox the better:main_thumbsup:.

Are you sure that this one is a W&Y? It reminds me much more of a hypo ghost.

:main_robin:

According to the owner it's a Calico-aka-W&Y.Who i beleave is also the owner of the lupo calico. It's looks calico to me with the color & patterning starting to be push up.

Here the link.Of it maturing. It not wrote in my tongue. So i'm not sure what it says.http://letempledugecko.xooit.fr/t2721-Evo-W-Y.htm
