California Redwood Forest Photos!!! :)

I took a small trip over to a State Park here in northern California to see the redwoods today, and I thought I'd share some of my photographs.

It is almost impossible to capture the beauty of these trees in a photograph... but I'm happy with what I got today. I'm sure I'll be taking many many more trips to the park this summer to take even more photos!

awwww, thank you guys so much! I can't wait to visit again and get some other photos... I really enjoyed being there... such a cool place with trees towering over 300 feet in the air... amazing stuff!

oh man! i was lucky enough to go there once. its absolutely beautiful there! i have a picture somewhere around in one of my albums of our van going through a hole cut in one of the trees that had fallen over the road years and years ago. its amazing the size of these trees. their trunks are as big as a house!

It's so wonderful living here in the SF Bay area where we can go visit these ancient trees within an hour or two. There really isn't a way to convey how huge these trees are without something in the pic for a size reference. I love it when I get out-of-state guests so I can take them to Big Basin to see the trees. It's an overwhelming, spiritual experience... we are so lucky!
