I just went to check on my roaches I've had for around a month, and saw three different types of females. I know they are all female, but they look different. One is more wide than long with few to no specks, so almost black. One is more long than wide, and has a lot of specks. And the last is more long than wide, with a few specks. Here are the pictures:

Are they just awaiting their final shed, orrrr... pregnant?:D

EDIT: white powder is mealworm bedding, not crack

When I click the link above it comes to a username/password screen for dropbox. If you upload the pics to the forum then we all will be able to see :)

This is the first time any forum has let me upload a picture from my iPhone haha

They look like dubia to me. They may just be different instars (age in molts) unless you cross bred them to another species of roach? Not sure that's even possible with dubia but I've seen a few roach breeders doing it with lobster roaches.

Do pregnant dubia's have a certain look to them? Like would I be able to identify if they were pregnant?

When we had hissing cockroaches for pets, the colors of the adults and their numerous offspring varied somewhat. I always assumed it was environmental/diet based, as their primary food source was seasonal fruit and vegetable scraps from our kitchen (thus based on availability, and highly different from season to season.)
