It's one of the things you have to think about when you take on a pet. There are costs that are associated with owning a pet. If you are willing to make the trip to buy him then you should be able to accept the trip to assure that all is well.

He needs the xray and probably a fecal smear to see if there are any parasites. The tail is really thin, it could be just malnourished or it could be something more serious.

alright , as far is i know i cant get an xray and my town vet dosnt treat geckos and if i start powerding his crikets with a calcuim supplment will that help?

You should have him on a calcium/vitamin supplement anyways. And just like JordanAng420 said the vet care is expensive, he defiantly needs it though.

I dont mean for this to sound mean, because i know it will. but please try not to take it the wrong way, but if you had read care sheets and that then you must have known what healthy geckos look like and how to tell if a gecko ishealthy. i just dont get why youd go ahead and buy this gecko.
im sorry if it sounded mean im just baffled as to why people dont know how to look for a healthy gecko when they are purchasing their first gecko. i had read three books before getting my first one years ago. and hell i still refer to those books today.

i think the pre-buying research is vital.
