Can you re-use incubation substrate?

I just removed an infertile egg from incubation. Can I reuse the perlite it was in? Seems like a waste to just toss it. Should I dry it out or something first before adding it back to the bag?

I change perlite each season (except this season when my banded geckos caught me unaware in Oct., just a few weeks after I turned the incubator off). It should be fine.
