I am planning on buying a chameleon, but I don't know what species to get. Im thinking about a bearded pygmy. Does anyone know of a good starter chameleon:main_huh:

I would go with a Veiled or Senegal. Pygmies don't do as well in captivity.

Hi,

Panther chameleons and veiled chameleons are the hardiest of chameleons. There is a huge price difference between them; panther chameleons are more expensive than veiled chameleons. Veiled chameleons tend to be more aggressive, although a small percentage may not have aggressive attitudes. Pygmy chameleons are very cute, but have a shorter life span and have different habitat requirements.

Have you ever owned a chameleon? If not, I highly recommend you do some research about their care and habitat requirements. If you have any questions, I'll be happy to help. I have been doing a lot of research. I just can't decide on which species. I would like something under 50 dollars.

If that is the case then you would most likely have to go with a veiled, as most panthers are in the several hundred dollar range.
