Can't find the bathroom?

Lol, ok... so I find it pretty funny, but at the same time it is very frustrating. The last 4 times my leo pooped, her spot of choice happened to be the center of her water dish. She used to do it against the wall between the water dish and mealie dish. Any ideas what I can do about this? I don't see what there possibly is to do, but maybe I'm overlooking something?

Yuck-that's just as bad as dead crix floating in the water bowl

Try removing the water bowl and replacing it with a differnt one
I don't know if that will work but it's worth a try

Bearded Dragons are famous for pooping in their water dishes and boy-what a mess that is-lol
good luck with changing this habit

Ive had soem that just do that, and I hate it but they do it. I have changed the dish to a 4oz to a 6oz deli and some still poo in the wrong place and some don't.

here is what I normally do though, I put them in the bin then wait to see where they choose to poo them put the other items (hides, food, water etc) away fromt hat area. It may take a few days as they do seem to pick a different spot for a bit, maybe 3 days, but once they are settled in they poo in the same spot and I avoid it for the other needs they have.

thats too funny. I used have a green iguana that exclusively crapped in his water.. It was always when I had just put in a fresh bowl.

It's even funnier because I just brought home a sunglow from Phoenix yesterday and she dropped a bomb in her calcium dish.

My other five go exclusively in the same place every time. My favorite is when they do it on top of their hide for all to see.

They usually designate a specific spot for defecating and if it happens to be your water dish moving it somewhere else should solve the problem.

Well, I don't have any gecko that poops in the water dish...but half of my leos prefer pooping on top of their humid hide no matter where I move it. Good luck, yeah I think changing another water dish and put it in another location will help. :)

My leo has never done this, but i have read that if they do that. Take out the water bowl until they go to the bathroom. Then once you see some FRESH POOP, put the water bowl back in. And they will learn to get water, poop some where else.

I am still going to try all these suggestions, but it isn't like shes been doing this from the start. It is just out of nowhere. Now she is doing it every other poop.
