Changeing Diet not really working

So Ive been trying to get my guy to eat crix and he cant quite hunt them. Im assuming its because he was fed only mealworms prior to me. So how can I make him get em? He's 9" so he's big enough for a pinky!! So how can I get him back to hunting crix?

I don't know you'd really want to get him crix?

I do my best to ween them off of the them, if at all possible. That way I don't have to deal with the scent, noise, and just plain grossness of those vermin.

I would suggest trying pin heads first so they don't jump as much or at least as high, and he can just chase them.. or pinch the heads of the big guys so they just squirm and he can nail them..

TO make sure he likes them, you can hold one in front of him and wiggle it. Maybe he'll take it from your hand. Another technique I used to use with a gecko that was a very poor hunter was to partition off part of the cage with a piece of plexiglass so there was a much smaller hunting area. Then I'd sort of herd the crickets toward her. Good luck.

Well Im planning on useing my old 10 gallon for hunting in for him. From what Ive noticed I think I feed him too much. (He ate only one super mealworm the other day) So Im waiting till Saterday to feed him the cricks... Ive seen him eat one before, he just needs to be a little more aggressive. I'll try to make a video.

There are a few things to take into consideration. First, is he hungry? Since he's an adult (9" long) he doesn't need to be fed every day. Like you are going to do, give him a few days. You may need to wait for up to a week, week and a half before he's truely hungry to chase down crix. Also adults tend to move slower being more deliberate. They don't get all crazy like the babies do when they see food.
