Cheap Show Displays

I'm trying to decide if it's going to be cheaper to buy or make display cases. I want professional looking.

Do you guys have any recommendations as to where to get the best prices for display cases? I'm interested in both the deli cup cases, and the three tier cases. The only three tier cases I've found are about $300

Build them. MDF with a little plastic laminate is simplicity itself to work with, some clear acrylic (also simple if you're not trying to bend it without distortion) and some pre-made metal hardware for hinges and locks, done deal. Inexpensive, good looking (without needing a lot of skill or experience) and something you can do with hand tools.
