Today when I was gonna feed my gecko, I looked at the superworm container and there was on on the lid and one crawling out of a hole. My dad poked 3 holes in the container( which were smaller than the ones I saw today. I'm guessing that they either chewed it or pushed it somehow. Is it possible that they can do that?:main_huh:

Yes they can chew their way thru if it's a thin container.

ohhh no.. you're going to have what I had about this same time last year- superworm invasion! It's really fun when they pupate in a month or so and you see giant beetles crawling around your room at night. It's really creepy but don't worry, they will die off in a few weeks just don't leave any carrots laying around ;) My advise is just keep them in a glass container with a sturdy screen lid. They can't climb up it anyway, tanks are cheap and can find them at a yardsale even, and the metal lids are chew/escape-proof.

Mine escaped last year when I let the bedding get too high and they made their way over the edge of the plastic (before I kept them in the glass tank). Sneaky little worms!

My mom's gonna kill me if that happens!!! Maybe I should leave a carrot as bait and see if there really are any that have escaped!!! Yea, I was gonna put them in a 10 gallon. For now they are in a tall plastic container. Should I throw them out( not sure if it is okay to feed supers that might've eaten plastic to my gecko).

Maybe I should wait a few days so they digest all the plastic? But then they might eat their own poop, who knows.

I tried for the first time feeding my 50G Leo some superworms. It ate 2 of them no problem. I went in a few hours later and he had regurgitated the superworms. Not sure why but I threw them all in the trash, Ill stick to mealies, waxs, and crickets.

i dont think these guys hold food very long. just wait 2-3 days. Really they ate a small bit of plastic and chewed it to a pulp, they should pass it.
