A couple of nights ago I was watching "Dirty Jobs" and Mike Rowe was catching chickens in Miami, FL. I learned that there are about 21,000 of them. It's also the same thing with them that they were released by careless owners. Don't you think that there should be a bill limiting pet chickens??

haha, give it time and with the current political views it will happen. As you saw in that episode they are in such a budget deficit that the chief (of whatever he was) was not allowed to actually use his markers either.

haha a few months ago on the way back from the Dry Tortugas, we saw tons and tons of chickens all over key west!! It was hard to not hit them because they had no fear of cars whatsoever. The roosters were really loud too!

I actually think there is. Or there is a restriction on the amount of chickens. Problem in florida, is that pythons from careless owners are either getting free, or letting them go because they didnt realize what they got themselves into.
Im not a big snake lover i prefer lizards, but large snakes should only be owned by owners who are dedicated, know what they are doing, and have more than enough adequate room. I think there should be a form on owning a large snake, not a form saying you have a phd in herpotology. but something stating that you have enough room and not that your just 18. It seems that all it takes these days or a credit/debit card.

THATS what causes problems and releases. Its not just snakes either, it happens to a lot of other reptiles. The snakes that get loose are probably put down when caught. Its not the snakes fault. its the peoples fault who get one, that don't need one.
Not this can't be stopped 100% but there should be something.
Sorry for the ranting, but it gets me so mad that because some people buy buy buy and ruin it for everyone else who have a passion and love for reptiles.
