Clay pots?

is it safe to use clay pots as a moist hide? are there any other alternatives? How can i make a cheap moist hide?

I would say so, I haven't seen anything that would say they're harmful. As a really cheap alternative you could use really any type of plastic container and just cut out a little door opening.

The cheapest moist hide IMO is a plastic margerine container with a hole cut in it. Add some damp paper towel, eco earth or moss and you're done.

Haven't tried using clay pots as moist hides, but I do use them as a normal hide box. Making a hole is a little tricky though.
