Well today my mother friend bought over and extra tank he had. (I'm super cheap) He was suppose to give me a 15gallon but then he took it out of the storage closet he had it in he saw that the bottom had a crack and didn't want to give me anything broken so he bought over a ten gallon.

While it's whole its freaking dirty! How should I go about cleaning it? It still has some gravel stuck in the corner and has some odd water stain on the back. Any ideas?

Take it out side fill it with very hot water, leave to cool, empty and it shoudl take the stones with it, spray down with a hose if you have one, get a buket with blech in it very low ration, scrub the inside, rinse , do out out side, rinse, dry it , go over with reptile safe cleaner and your done :D

i got given my 20 gl and it was very dirty indeed and this is what i did and it worked well

If it's glass and you have trouble w/ the water marks get a fine steel wool pad (I use the ones w/ out the soap) and scrub it with that. Dose the trick for me. I got a 55gal that was used for turtles and it had lime and algae dried on the sides. It took a LOT of scrubbing but I got it all cleaned up w/ a wool pad and some vinegar.

Put a coffee filter over the drain in your tub, then bring the tank in and hose it down while its on its side.
