Reminds me of an IMDB thread I saw where some posed the question of "who else wants a camera that can last for 7 hours on one battery and still works great after being dropped, stepped on, banged around, beat-up, etc?"

Every one keeps saying that the battery lasted for 7 hours. But they miss the point that you only saw what was taped, period. How long was the movie without credits? By my friends watch it was only an hour and 15 minutes. I don't own a camcorder, so I don't know if one could tape that long. Even at that you'd have to cut out all the scenes of Beth and Rob since that was taped nearly a month earlier. I agree that the thing would have probably broke with how many times it was dropped and then attacked by a monster

Kinda funny but I never argue or deliberate with people who ask too many questions or comment about scenes from a movie. IT'S A MOVIE.

Jet Li can't really jump that high!
Arnold can't really throw a person that far!
Stallone can't really hold on to that lady in Cliffhanger with one hand!
Look, that girl's eye got burned off in Hostel and 10min. later she's not even crying.!

They're movies that are made to entertain you...that's it.

I get this all the time with my friends which is the main reason why I'm posting.:p

Yeah, we saw it a few days ago with Bret and his fiance...it was ok. It was a bit disapointing. It wasn't scary at all...it was just gross and depressing. On top of that, I got sick to my stomache from the camera. :(

I give it an ok....

I keep hearing in other places how certain aspects are unrealistic, like the camera lasting so long, being bulletproof, or reactions to injuries...

Nobody mentions how unrealistic it is to have a monstor tearing apart the city! You want realism, don't go to a monster movie...

HAHA Thats good...but I dont remember anything being bulletproof.

I have to say that the best part of this movie (by far) was seeing it on a big screan. Just imagining it on a small tv just doesnt work.

And about the camcorder lasting that long...from the movie we only know of 90 minutes of film. My camcorder lasts 90 minutes on the battery it came with, and can last as long as 4 hours with a different battery. Tapes I believe are normally 2 hour tapes but you can get ones that are longer.
