I have housed all my leopards individually.I generally introduce the male to the females for 2-3 days. The first day I checked on them I noticed the two girls both had huge chunks torn off their tails.I immediately removed the male and medicated their tails. My question is ,was it the male that was the brutal one or was it the females when they tryed to get away.Has this happened to anyone else?I'm hesitant to use this male again.Any comments?

Males are very aggressive breeders. One of my male breeders is very aggressive. he has taken chunks out of three of my females this year while he was breeding the females. I house all my leos seperate and itnroduce the male into the female inclosure during the season.

Just as another data point --I have had no problem housing my males and females together in glass enclosures for the entire breeding season.
