If you are looking for a very cool amazing tang you are looking from $75 -$400.00. So you got very lucky and under $20.00. I have a cool tang I got from the one here in town. I pick-up her up for $10.00. I have her paired with a Super Hypo Tang Carrot tail male right now but her is a pic of her a few months ago.
Example of a tang that will cost you around $300.00
I own both of those Leopards. I hope you see the differance. For the $20.00 you paid, you got a nice SHTCT
The sad thing about buying from a pet store chain is that you do not know the age of the gecko nor any of the genetics or any history behind the gecko. That will not really matter though unless you plan to breed it.
Hypo: Less spots than normal. Abbreviation of "hypomelanistic" (that means less black pigment than normal).
Super hypo: This term refers to hypos that have no spots at all on their backs. Your gecko looks like he could develop some spots in the future, though, because he shows some residual color from spots.
Tang: Orange color. Abbreviation of "tangerine". What people consider "orange" is quite subjective. Since your gecko's color is not really that intense, there are people that would consider it a tang (I do) and people that wouldn't.
Carrot tail: Orange pigmentation starting at the base of the tail.
