Ok I have finished my setup. As you can see they both have tile as the substrate, two hides, and three dishes. You probably cannot see them, but each has it's own UTH, which are hooked up to a thermostat. And the tanks are raised up off of the floor by about 2 inches to keep the heater away from the wood. There are also three digital thermometers between the two so I can keep a close eye on temps. And from some testing I have been able to maintain a hot side temp of 89-91 and a cool side temp of 80-81. I should be able to straighten that out so that the hot side maintains 92-93. I'm also planning on getting something for them to climb on if they wish, like a piece of wood or something.

Any other suggestions are more than welcome. Thanks bunches!

PS - I am particularly proud of the red/orange leaf hide. I made all of the hides based on the dollar store hide idea here on GF.

After closer thoughts have you thought about a log or something such as a reptile hamock for the gecko to explore?

Yea I am. I mentioned that originially. I'm planning on getting a piece of wood or something along that line for them to climb on. Are those hammock things any good? Do the leos really like them? Perhaps I should consider that too.

I dont have a hammock personally but have heard leos like them. Going to order one with a lader off ebay soon. I change the logs so every couple days my female has a new one to explore. Sometimes I add two just for fun. She is also an explorer so I have her out everynight on the floor she has hides and logs plus free running area. The male doesn't like to explore much unless the female is out.

They both look really nice, looks like you spent some time to think about it and set them up nicely.

My only tip would be that once you get the leos in them and see where they pick the potty to be to put down paper towel in that spot for easy clean up. I know from experience that its a pain to take out the tile every other day to wash it. Although some just do a spot clean and leave the tile in, I prefer to do the spot clean one day and run it through the dishwasher the next.

As cheap as the tile is I also wound up getting extra tiles so I could just take up the poo tile nad put a new clean one in and always have a clean one on stand by.

i do not think the hamock is a good idea. they might get their nails/claws stuck in it. i would suggest a piece of wood or maybe some fake plants to hide behind (something stable and easy to clean).
also just a suggestion but i would make the humid hide have an entrance/hole on the top. they seem to drag stuff out all over the place if the hole in on the side.

your gecko set ups really look fantastic and i really like how you have decorated the hides :) very nicely done. it's good to see someone well prepared :)

Well for the time being I was planning on using paper towels for both hides, as I'm hoping to get babies. But if I change to moss I'll whip up so hides with holes on the top. I have lots of supplies left to make more hides, so that will work out nicely. :)

Thank you! I've been researching leos since I decided in May that I liked them. Now I feel informed enough to actually own them. :D I can't wait for this weekend! (I'm not excited or anything ;) )
