I'm having a concern with my female Leopard gecko.

As of tonight, it will have been 9 days since she's defecated, although she has passed urates several times.
She is fed every 3 days, and has been eating consistently.
As well, she is now on day 2 of being in shed mode (skin very loose and tearing in places) yet she isn't fully shedding. While this may not be an issue normally, this is unusual for her.

The only thing that's changed in her environment is that part of her heat pad burnt out recently, unbeknownst to me. I normally measure her temps using a probe in the middle of her warm hide. However, she sleeps at the back of her hide, and I didn't even think to check there. I did after 6 days of no defecation, and found out the heat pad doesn't work in that part. How long it's been burnt out though, I'm not sure. This was my mistake in not measuring all parts of the pad.

The heat pad has since been replaced, but no change in feces.

I've been giving her warm belly soaks with massages along with oral administration of mineral oil. I've also had her out on an electric heat pad to warm her belly.

I can't feel anything hard in her tummy to indicate a buildup or impaction, but I know that's not always an indicator.

She's been acting normally otherwise in spite of this.

If the advice is to seek a vet, I will call on Monday for an appointment.

As of now though, I'm quite concerned, and hoping there's something else I can try, or if this is just something I should wait out? If this is normal for geckos, I've never experienced it before.

If you need any additional information, please let me know. Thanks.

To be honest I'm not sure what the problem is?
If shes still eating, you should expect a very large bowel movement soon.
Maybe a warm bath might help.

With impaction, they lose their appetite and become lethargic.... give it a few more days and monitor her behavior before you go spending your money unnecessarily.

YOU GOTTA GET A THERMOSTAT SO THE TEMPS STAY RIGHT. THOSE DIMMERS AIN'T NO GOOD. THOSE KINGWORMS CHITIN PROBABLY CLOGGED HER UP TO. BETTER TO FEED CRICKET AND SILKWORMS. MY LITTLE GIRL IS DOING GREAT ON THOSE 2 BUGS.

the reason your UHT burned out could possibly be because of the dimmer, they aren’t really designed for use with those. I find that if you have a the mat sandwiched between two tiles then your substrate ontop the mat pretty much stays at a nice constant temp :) just an idea.
