Hey Guys, I posted a pic about 4-6 weeks ago of a Leo I was told was a Mack Snow ( baby ). I posted the picture here before I purchased it and those who replied did seem to think it was a Mack Snow.

Fast forward 4-6 weeks and it's now looking like it's a Hypo Tangerine and not a Mack Snow at all.

I will post the first pic I had of it at roughly 3-4 weeks old and then pics taken today with & without flash.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Malcolm

First pic was before I purchased it - next 2 are today with no flash - last 2 are today with flash

Yeah I am brand new to this hobby and I'm amazed ( and somewhat saddened ) that the babies don't look that way as adults LOL

I like this one either way, but I bought it because I thought it was a Mack Snow. So do you think it's just a Hypo Tangerine ?

If so I guess I'll have to find a Mack Snow :main_thumbsup:

It's definitely a Mack snow. Unfortunately (or fortunately in my opinion with your baby) the clean black and white look doesn't stay on most Mack snows. In many cases they yellow up and you can't tell as adults that they are Mack snows (but they are). So you can say that you have a Mack snow (super) hypo tangerine --it looks as if it's going superhypo. I have 13 hatchlings from my Mack snow x snow het tremper and blizzard. One of them looks much like yours in terms of coloring and I'm praying that her orange patches stay brighter than the white parts, which will undoubtedly get oranger. You should be praying too! I hope that clears it up.

AC, those are some cute geckos you have there. Shame about those AFT's. I love your hides and I remember seeing them before I even bought my first Leopard Gecko. My favorite creation of yours has got to be the bathroom tiles...lol

Thank you. I tell people that my geckos learn to read because they poop on the tile that says "POOPS".
