marcia,

how do you do your humid hide in the naturalist setup?

That is for a Western Banded. I don't think they really require much humidity because they are from desert areas. It looks like she has some moss in the hide in the top left corner, which I'm guessing gets misted. That is probably sufficient for this species. She can chime in if there is something else to add.

Would be awesome to make a glass table, setup like marcias western banded setup. Put a clear door in the side, and some ventelation holes also

Petco sells those magnetic rocks, im sure petsmart probley does too. Most websites probably have them, check LLLreptile or bigappleherp

I don't know if it is only the Petco by me, but they don't carry that product anymore.

I have a humid hide area on the rear left, but the bandeds seem to like to use it for a toilet. About once a week I make it "rain' by misting the entire cave and slop water around the bowl. I've never had a shed problem with these guys after they are about a month old.

Please, Please use caution with those magnetic hides. I saw a Leo that had his leg competely crushed at petsmart, so squashed actually that his leg was stuck to the glass and he couldn't move. :main_no: I immediately told the manager but his only comment was this wasn't the first time it had happened, and it would be removed this time. Sure enough it got removed and they never put them back on. I am not sure if people were being mean and trying to place the magnet where the poor leo would get hurt, but the idea that it could even happen has made it where I want to tell everyone to be careful with them.

I did get the rock at a pet store. It seems most PetCos are clearancing them out. Maybe because of incidents mentioned above. Sorry, but they are once again proven stupid if they actually put them on a store cage! C'mon! A demo tank with NO live animals makes sense.

If you do get the mag rock, yes, please use with caution. The magnets are SUPER powerful without glass between them & extremely powerful when the glass is there. I do not allow my boys to remove the rock & have explained in painful detail why they cannot. So far so good.
