I wouldn't get too bummed out yet, my corn escaped about a year or two back, I tried everything, baiting, sand trick no luck, so about a month after the fact my mom bought me a pueblan's milk snake (since the corn escaped while she was taking care of him while I was up at school) sure enough about 2-3 months after he escaped he showed up crawling around the floor totally healthy didn't look like he had any weight loss. You'd be surprised how long they can last without food, and that there are places in your house they can find water.
