The substrate is indoor/outdoor carpet. No loops it's like astro turf i believe. They say it's pretty rough for a gecko but when it is warmed up it's soft.

Ah, ok. It kind of looked like glitter in the photo! LOL Not that I think you, or anyone else for that matter would use glitter as a substrate, but it looked so sparkly. Ha!
