Correct Heating Pad?

Hello All,
This weekend I picked up a pretty, little creamsicle cornsnake baby and when I purchased him the kid who sold it to me recommended I get a rainforrest UTH rather than the desert style. It's only 4 watts and I can barely feel any heat through the mat above the heater. Is this going to be warm enough, or should I have gone with the desert UTH?

I would just go with a zoo med UTH, I know the ones you are talking about.

I figured as much. I would return it, but I don't know if it's worth the 1 hour round trip drive back to the reptile shop .(The local shop was all out of corns.)
