Not sure which would be better ... I have two different size containers I am looking over one is (7w x 7L x 2.5h) and the other is (4.75w x 6.5L x 3.25h) ... I have included a few photos ... I plan on getting them for my 15qt tubs for adults ... Just not sure which would be better the deeper or the wider? also are they large enough for adults females to lay eggs in?

I would use the deeper one so you can layer more substrate in there and keep it moist longer.
The hole looks kinda big though :main_huh:
Looks like you would loose alot of humidity faster.
Just my 2 cents!

i would use the one on the left for a moist hide and the one on the right for an egg hide, the one on the right is nice and deep so you can put enough vemiculite (or whatever you prefer using) that the gecko can dig and bury the eggs. if your using sphagnum moss for your moist hide i would reccomend getting it from home depot, its a lot cheaper for a lot more and a lot of the moss at the pet stores is dyed green..im not a big fan of having my geckos living on dyed moss.

The holes are 2 1/8 in diameter ... How big should they be for the gecko to fit through? Also I plan on only having one hide so trying to figure out which would be best. Guess I could use one type till female is gravid then switch to the other? :)

From your pic, the hole looked bigger than that.
I wouldnt go over 1 1/2'', but 2'' is not that much different.
I'm just thinking of minimizing evaporation.
I guess if you dont mind spraying it everyday, no problem.

What are you using as a substrate in those boxes?

Exo-Terra forest moss ... It comes in a compressed block.
