I am considering adopting this gecko. I decided to look on craigslist first just in case if there was an animal that needed to be rehomed and I was right. I found this guy that doesn't look to be in the best condition.

The guy says he is almost a year old but has had that shedding over his eyes for about a week. The guy says he believes the poor gecko can't see, so has been blind for about a week now.

I am concerned that he is not eating please any suggestions will help as I am new to these little guys.

Based on the picture, the gecko doesn't look so bad except for the shed on its eyes. It's likely that the shed could be peeled off and it would be OK. Here's the thing to think about: Do you really want to adopt a gecko in not so good condition as a first time gecko owner? Do you have the experience and correct information to rehabilitate it? As I mentioned above, given the range of what geckos in "not so good shape" look like, this one doesn't look that bad. I would recommend that if you adopt it, you have a reptile vet appointment set up and can bring it in soon for examination and treatment. If you can't afford that, wait and adopt a gecko that looks totally healthy.
