Crazy way to help shed!

So I go to feed my leo Murdock, I look in all his hides and he isn't there. So I say, "Okay, he must be hiding" so I check his water. Before it was 3 quarters empty, but when I looked, it was full of leopard geckos, not water. He was shedding in his water bowl! It was drained of water exept a few drops! He was almost done shedding, so I filled up his water after he got out.
