Hello, I have a hypo mack snow and was told if bred to an SHTC eventually, through multiple generations, it would produce a creamsickle. After doing some research I still have some questions. What would the offspring of the first generation (SHTC and hypo Mack snow) be called? How would I continue the line, by breeding the best offspring to another SHTC or to themselves?

As far as what to call the first generation:
If they're snows, then you know what to call them.
If they look orange they're tangerines
If they have no spots they're super hypos and if they have a few spots they're hypos.

Some people call the first generation creamsicles even though they don't look so good. My version of a creamsicle would be a gecko that has clear orange and white bands, but I don't see that many. When you produce the first generation, take the most orange of the offspring and either breed it back to the parent, or to another orange gecko (obviously you want to make sure the offspring or the mate for the offspring is a Mack snow to preserve that trait as well). Keep breeding your best ones together, being sure to outcross (i.e. breed to non-relatives) every other generation or so, and with luck, you will have nice creamsicles.

I would label the babies for what they look like visually and then state that they are SHT x Mack Snow crosses.

I do know that after many generations, they become extremely orange (depending on what you hold back) and lose most of the snow look. It's a pretty cool project that not too many people work with anymore. I actually love the look of the first generation hypo snows they produce. They're very pretty.
