Credit Report and Score?!

I'm really curious to know where I stand credit wise and would like to know where can I go to get my credit report and score that is legit and won't steal my SS#?

I use FreeCreditReport.com. I'm a member though, so I pay a monthly fee. I'm not sure how the free report works, but I'm sure they'll walk you through it. They're really accurate and quick on the reporting. I like it a lot.

www.annualcreditreport.com is the one recommended on the Federal Trade Commission's website. It's the only really free one, other sites make you pay for memberships to things. You can get all three credit reports for free but you do have to pay for your credit score (something like $6).

I used that when I got divorced and was looking for a car. I found that I didn't need the score per se. I was able to see enough to know that his antics didn't hurt me. I think you can do that only once a year for free though if I remember correctly. Beyond that I think you have to pay.

Yes, you can order all three reports once a year for free. Instead of ordering all three at one time you can order a report for each of the three bureaus separately, essentially enabling you to check your credit report for free three times a year.
