Well, back when I got this 5 year old guy for free off craigslist he was in a 20 gallon tall tank with one little tree and a few sticks which was decently sized for him, but I still felt it was small. I upgraded him to an 18x18x18 exterra tank which was not much larger than the 20 gallon but it looked nicer and it was cheap on craigslist. I found a cheap 46 gallon tank on craigslist and got it for him, he now has tons of room to jump around and climb :p I still have to get some sticks for him to climb higher , I have been using sanitized sticks from outside and they work great . I didn't get a top for the tank so I kind of had to make one, it is temporary

Excuse my drawers with clothes hanging out

Awesome set up. I just got three new cresties and my biggest question is substrate or no substrate. I have them on paper towels right now but have a brick of eco earth should I add this to their enclosures? How do you clean it?

Try to find some potato bugs outside and put them in the eco earth even millipedes , if not it still lasts for 4-6 months , but with 3 geckos I guess it won't last as long. When he poops in it ( usually he goes on the glass) I usually turn it over and pull fresh dirt up :)

The eco earth looks much nicer than paper towels too :main_thumbsup:

Looks good. You can also use isopods and springtails.

I'd be careful of getting the decor too high without the proper lid.

Lol my guy sticks well to the glass and he climbed up to the lid right away, it is def. secure enough to keep him in, unless he's been working out a lot :main_laugh:

The tank isn't that heavy, i carried it alone without anything in it. I have developed a simple solution to change the soil, SHOP VAC!
