Cricket Gel

I got some cricket gel for some crickets which are for Mandarin. But they only sell the cricket gel in these large tubs. I'm probably not going to be using so much in so little a time and for such a small amount of crickets (about 30), so would it be possible to freeze it? Or would it last longer in the fridge at all?

I use a form of cricket gel and I keep it in the fridge and it's stayed in there fine for about a year.
