cricket laying eggs?

what does it look like when a female cricket lays eggs?

because i think one is laying eggs in the moist paper towel in my gecko's humid hide.

i'm not intending to breed crickets, necessarily, since i only have one gecko and it would be a lot of extra trouble, but... i'm just curious.

The eggs are a somewhat translucent white, and shaped like a very small grain of rice. For eggs to be layed, the female cricket would have to have a fully developed ovipositor, which is a long black tube coming straight out of her rear side.

that's it, that's what i saw. this morning i dumped the contents of the hide into the trash, and i saw a bunch of little rice-looking things along the edges, but there was also this kind of web-like thing stuck to the side, like spider webs or mold, but it just popped up overnight, it wasn't there last night.

I think the web like thing was mold. I've seen that too, on my cricket laying media. It doesn't seem to get out of hand or cause a problem, as long as I don't keep the media TOO moist.
