I've had to feed crickets recently while waiting for my usual shipment of roaches to arrive, that was 2 weeks ago. Today while cleaning out tubs I noticed small magot like things in my moist hides ( i use cocobark in them)
They look too big to be cricket eggs, and aren't moving like fly larva. What could these be?

Also speaking of parasites, I've always done a rotation wormer program with mammals i've owned, horses, cats, dogs, pigs.....Is there any protocol for reptiles and rotation wormer?

Also with Mammals, we ALWAYS wormed new ones, as a matter of course. Any one do this with their geckos, if so what do you use?

Thanks,

I have no idea what the larva could be. Baby crickets are about the size of ants so i dont think it has anything to do with crickets. It could of been in the container with the crickets and maybe you didnt notice it.

As for the dewormer i just quarintine new geckos from the others. If they show no signs of problems in a month or so i assume they are perfectly healthy. Their is a drug called flygil or something like that. It is widely used in reptiles. I think you can only get it from a vet. I think they were talking about bringing it to the over the counter market. I think ron tremper had something to do with it but i really cant remember.

Hope this helps in some way
