Crickets hiding in leaves?

My new white spotted gecko (Tarantola Anularis) hasn't been eating, and at first I thought it was because she was scared. Today was the first day in a while I've seen her out of her hide in a few days (she would like to climb the walls of the tank for her first couple days here, but I startled her once and she's been in her hide ever since). She ate today, but that was only after I took out the artificial leaves that I have draped over the one side of her tank. The crickets have taken to hiding in them, and I think she can't find them. Is there a way I can stop them from hiding in them? She likes to climb on the leaves too, so I don't want to have to permanently remove them, and I'm afraid that moving them during feeding might stress her out too much, or am I just being a worry wort?

The white spotted are generally just a little skidish from what i've seen. I've never own. i personally don't think that reaching in to remove the leaves (and get the crickets off) for an hour or two at night will hurt. It should help your situation and shouldn't stress your gecko.
