Crickets Too Big?

Hey all,

I accidentally ordered a bunch of medium (we're talking like .5") crickets recently. I'm curious if they're ok to feed to my juvenile (4" long) without any choking hazard or anything like that.

I've fed her a few so far, and she's done alright...it just takes her longer than usual.

As long as you don't see her struggling, and the feeders are not wider than her head all should be fine :) I have always underestimated the size of food these little things can take down, and I was a worry wart with my hatchlings and juvies. My 5" long juvenile eats large crickets just fine. In fact, she's entirely uninterested in the medium size.

The problem I have found is that cricket farms tend to give me smaller than
what I ask for. If I order 1/2'', I'll get 1/4 and a bunch of pins.
I have never ordered full grown. I wonder what I would get??!!
And each vendor is different! :main_huh:
They cant seem to agree on what 1/2'' means :main_rolleyes:

Lol, I can imagine Nats. Good thing for me, my juvenile is the only gecko of my current 6 that eats large crickets, so I get them from my local pet store - where I can SEE how they are kept! The others all get meal worms and roaches.
