crimped oats

are crimped oats good for bedding and feeding mealies? i bought a 50 pound bag today from a local feed store for 10 bucks and blended them up, but they don look like oatmeal oats, i think its horse feed

It will be easier to sift the mealworms out if you can pulverize it --maybe put some in the blender.
