Has anyone been successfully in breeding for more carrot tail in AfricanFat tails? Or does it not increase with line breeding as with the leo's.

there really hasnt been much work done on increasing the color in the tails. a few of us are working on increasing the colors in the normal and amel fatties. Ive noticed that with my tangerine normals that the color in the tails is becoming more vibrant but not really spreading through out the tail like in leopards. good luck

fat tails do not have the same colors as leos. why anybody would want to make their fat tail look like a leo is beyond me.

fat tails often have a mottled blue/grey/purple band in their tail. if anything those colors should be worked on.

That is obvious. I don't think anyone is trying to make their fatties look like leos. I was just relating it to something most people on here can relate to. you don't think the color on some of those amels & tangerine tails reminds you of carrot tail. tell me you wouldn't want a 50 to75 % CT(blue /gray /purple) fattail if it was possible.
Just asking if anyone working more with them then I, had seen any increase in any tail color in fatties with breeding 2 animals with nice amounts of tail color.

the Fat tails may never catch up with the leopard gecko in terms of verity of morphs but in the last couple years they have popped up with some nice surprises.

People that have Fatties
throw some picture up so we can see.
