We were gone for a DAY! ONE DAY and the cats kill a gecko. Piece of shit cats pissed me off. I know it's instinct but still...why did they have to kill it? They chewed up the tail, tore up the gecko, and left it as a present for us to find when we came home. I have mixed emotions because it's the same dumb-ass gecko that ALWAYS gets out and gets cornered by the cats...geesh...fuckers. few...thanks for listening...just sucks because we just lost a levis female too and our season is sucking up a storm.

what she dis is when I fed her, she was so content. She would stay in her tub until all of her super worms were gone...then, she would scoot her moist hide over to the side of the tub and if there was the slightest gap in it, she could weasle her way out of the tub....crazy little thing she was. I do feel sorry for her though because she was a sweet girl.

I hate to hear that for sure. There was a cat out in the back yard a few months ago that thought it would be an easy meal to get into my koi pond. Well lets just say my dog ate very well. My views on cats as pets is kindof in the grey. They can be good pets, but you have to keep tabs on the little buggers. They love little squirmy things which unfortunately is the same thing are little geckos love to do when cornered.

Yeah, one of our cats killed my very first leopard gecko EVER, one that I had for 5 years.. granted, it's what inspired us to get more and start breeding, but still.. as much as I love our cats, they sure do piss me off!! I'm SO SORRY to hear what's happened, I know how you must feel

You let your dog kill the cat??

How is that any different than the cat killing your koi?

You disgust me

I don't have feelings for animals sucking down 500 dollar fish in my yard. Yes there was a net over the top of the pond which I guess if the cat had time to he could of ripped part of it off. I did not know the cat was even in the yard until later when I found parts of it here and there. Dog was just taking advantage of the situation in a fenced yard.

That was my thought too. But upon reading his rebuttal I guess it's also a case of a dog doing what they do - well...if they haven't been conditioned to be around cats. I hate the fact that dogs can/will eat cats too if they have never been introduced to them properly. But to them, it's about the size and shape of any other small mammal that they may have hunted.

I get anxious with my cat too. I have 'introduced' her very slowly to my geckos and she seems to know that they are mine. Of course I know that given a chance, she'd probably like to see what one would taste like. She likes to sit on the arm of the couch nearest the tanks and watch them as they move about. She's particularly fond of Mandarin. She likes to paw at the tank longingly at her. >.>

I'm sorry for your loss though, malt. That sucks. >.<
